The GM wanted to update the staff’s employment agreements to ensure that they were compliant with current legislation.

Approach/Solution

Detailed discussions were held with the GM to determine the company culture and business aims so that these could be reflected in the new IEAs (Individual Employment Agreements). He was provided with processes guidance to be able to offer the new IEAs to his staff.

Outcome

Updated IEAs were produced to cover Full Time, Part Time, Fixed Term and Casual employees. Process guidance was provided.

Outcome

The mediation solution reached a satisfactory conclusion for both parties and the organisation avoided costly and protracted litigation.
