Structure for growth

Client

A leading provider of cleaning products

Problem/Opportunity

A fast growing company undergoing rapid change due to significant increase in demand needed help to redesign its structure to take them into the future.

Approach/Solution

We worked with the CE and managers to identify the key business drivers and culture of the company. We undertook a thorough bottom-up review of all existing roles, internal processes, key pressure points and growth pattern. We recommended a new structure, new updated roles, personal development plans for all staff and worked with the CE to implement these. End-to-end sales process improvements were identified and implemented.

Outcome

The company adopted the new structure and new roles to better support growth. Staff report greater clarity of roles and responsibilities, especially in the sales and warehouse interface. The new structure has successfully supported the addition of new roles as the company grows.

Brand reflected in behaviour

Client

Macdow (McConnell Dowell Construction)

Problem/Opportunity

Undergoing rapid change, the company was building their organisation capability and enhancing their branding. The CE wanted better alignment between the company vision, mission and strategy.

Approach/Solution

We worked with staff to develop a new vision, mission and behaviours, “The MacDow Way” to reinforce the brand.

These were then incorporated into their performance agreements.

Outcome

The MacDow brand is not just an abstract idea but is embraced by the staff and reflected in their behaviour and measured within their performance agreements.
